 These stories have many similarities and differences between Sootface and Cinderella. some similarities are that both stories have magic,evil step sisters, and it involved every girl in the land to try to get the "famous one" to marry them.
          The differences are that in Sootface there is a hunter and in Cinderella there is a prince. In Sootface the hunter has a sister that is very loyal to her brother and prepares Sootface for the wedding. In Cinderella the prince doesn't have a sister. So I just gave you the similarites and differences between Cinderella  and Sootface.
